Sigma Young Talent are in collaboration with Volvo GTT starting a new talent program - Volvo Group Trucks Technology - Towards the Future. The program will last for twelve months and during this time you will combine working at Volvo GTT with an educational package, team building and guidance by mentors. The program will begin in September 2019 and after a successful participation you will be offered employment at Volvo Group Trucks Technology.
Departments, teams and opportunities at Volvo Group Trucks Technology
Volvo Group Trucks Technology provides Volvo Group Trucks and Business Area's with state-of-the-art research, cutting-edge engineering, product planning and purchasing services, as well as aftermarket product support.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJL5dKn1nIM&t=6sWe are looking for ten talented engineers to join the talent program "Towards the Future" at Volvo GTT. Within the program you can choose to start your career in one of the following departments/focus areas:
Vehicle Connectivity: Vehicle Connectivity is in the middle of the digital transformation and is working with implementing end-to-end functions like Driver Coaching, ISee, Remote SW Download and Geofencing. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management, uptime services and advanced vehicle services as driver assistance and fuel reduction, targeting reduced costs as well as increased revenues.
The teams design in C++ and develop new or enhanced telematics functions in the product, from concept to released software. We are looking for both C++ developers and Scrum masters.
Vehicle Electronics: Vehicle Electronics develop and integrate global electronic solutions for all truck brands within the Volvo Group. In the Platform and Integration department you will be part of a team that is responsible for the AUTOSAR platform and the software integration of SW components on ECU hardware. You will use technologies like C++ and Linux or VHDL/FPGA.
Powertrain Engineering: Powertrain Electrics and Electronics develops electronic solutions in-house for engines, transmissions and Full Electrical/Hybrid powertrains for the whole Volvo Group. In this department, you will develop the next generation embedded SW platform for Electric, Engine and Transmission control units.
The teams are continuously improving the embedded software platform to achieve faster and more efficient software frameworks. Your job will be to work with the software architecture, design and verification using C and Python.
Complete Vehicle: Complete Vehicle is the part of Group Trucks Technology assigned to translate customer needs into the most competitive vehicles in the industry with the right feature levels - from vehicle concept development to aftermarket support.
Aftermarket Technology is a function with the mission to provide our customers with the best possible solutions supporting their aftermarket business. Diagnostic Engineering is a function innovating, developing, maintaining and delivering Diagnostic Service Based Solutions for Volvo products on the aftermarket. Our deliveries entail diagnostic tool platforms and content exemplified in Tech Tool and diagnostic content like Guided Diagnostics and Operations.
