hela Sverige During 15 intense and exciting months, our Operations Graduate Program will give you a holistic view of our operational and logistic activities, including both the local and global perspective. You will be working with the technologies of tomorrow, building the products of the future - electric, connected and automated. In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions.
You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several local and international on the job-rotations and work on business-critical projects developing your competencies for tomorrow. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our remanufacturing operations. In addition, you will gather with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group. We offer the opportunity for you to be part of our digital transformation, applying new technologies to connect and automate our processes. Together we work with AI, data science, machine learning, circular systems, virtual manufacturing and more, to build our full electric or autonomous products.

Your main responsibilities:
Industrial Communication Protocols:
Proficiency in industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, CoAP, and other relevant protocols.
Ability to implement and optimize communication between various industrial devices and systems.
IIoT Protocols and Techlologies:
Understanding of IIoT protocols like HTTP, WebSockets, AMQP, etc., to facilitate communication between devices and cloud-based platforms.
Experience in implementing IoT protocols to transmit data from industrial sensors and devices to cloud-based systems.
Cloud-based IIoT Platforms
Hands-on experience with cloud-based IoT platforms like PTC ThingWorx, AWS IIoT, Microsoft Azure IIoT, or similar.
Knowledge of integrating industrial devices with cloud-based platforms for data collection, analysis, and management.
IIoT Security Aspects:
Understanding of security principles and methods within IIoT, including encryption, authentication, and access control.
Experience in implementing secure communication channels and safeguarding industrial networks from potential threats and attacks.
Database and Cloud Data Management:
Ability to store and manage large volumes of data from industrial devices in database systems or cloud storage.
Experience in designing database structures and utilizing cloud-based services for data management and analysis.
Machine Learning and Predictive Analysis:
Basic understanding of machine learning and predictive analysis to derive insights from large datasets and enhance industrial system processes and maintenance.
Industrial Systems and Processes:
Knowledge of industrial processes and systems, including experience in integrating IoT solutions to optimize production workflows and efficiency.
Ability to understand specific needs and requirements from various industries and manufacturing contexts.
Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
Proficiency in problem-solving and troubleshooting industrial IoT systems, including diagnosing and resolving network issues and device failures.

This is a new role within our organization in Köping, therefor you will have a great chance to impact the future of our factory within your field as well as the work content of your role. Required knowledge/experience
For this position, following qualifications and skills are required:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer science, Data science or Electrical Engineering
Previous experience from manufacturing/production is meritorious
Analytical and problem-solving skills
