hela Sverige The Volvo Group Trucks Technology Engineering Graduate Program is a global Program for new graduates who are passionate about engineering, driven to make things better and have plenty of initiative. The Program offers a mix of on-the-job learning and intensive training modules including international travel for common weeks to India, USA and France.
The Program starts in September 2019 and will be ongoing for 12 months. After that time you continue to work in the position you have been recruited into.
When applying for the Program please specify which area you are most interested in/applying for. Note! All these positions below are based in Gothenburg, except for nr.10 - Engine Performance & Simulation, which is based in Malmö.
Diagnostic Engineering - working with development of data analytics and mining environment for exploring and creating new ways of vehicle diagnostics and service solutions for new technologies such as automation, connectivity and electro mobility.
Technology & Service Development - working with development of uptime technologies and services for the aftermarket, including future maintenance solutions, predictive and virtual reality applied to the service market.
Feature, Verification & Validation - working with testing of the complete truck on the road, in labs and rigs in order to verify and validate our products by demands set by customer needs, including testing for new technologies as automation, connectivity and electro mobility.
Electrical Wiring Harness - working with development of future electrical harnesses for different types of Volvo Trucks.
Cab Body - Develop innovating and light weight solutions: aluminum, composite and ultra-high strength steel, for structural designs in future cabs.
Vehicle Automation - Working with Validation and Verification of solutions for Autonomous Automated Driving including both method development and performing the testing.
Driver Electronics - working with agile software and hardware development of instrument clusters, displays and climate control.
Vehicle Connectivity - working with software development in an agile context and with a state of the art software development and verification environment, creating in-vehicle connectivity features/apps.
Chassis Engineering - Working with development of the suspension system in the front and rear of the vehicle
Engine Performance & Simulation - Working with future, current and novel, engine concepts required to meet more stringent legislation and customer expectations within the domains combustion and turbo/air & gas management. Position based in Malmö.
System Simulations - working with system simulations for the future powertrain solutions, optimizing energy use and other features to address the environmental challenge.
Test Engineer for Verification and Validation in Engine Test Cells - working with evaluation and analysis of new technologies not yet in the market place.
Electromobility - working with agile development of motor drive systems with focus on hardware testing and verification of electric machines and power conversion technologies.
Engine Performance & Calibration - Working with calibration of engine functions and engine performance development in engine test lab, in vehicle and with virtual modeling tools contributing to world class fuel efficient products

Program Requirements
Master Degree with concentration in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical engineering Industrial software engineering, Computer Science or related engineering fields
Must be a recent graduate within the past 18 months or have an anticipated graduation date by summer 2019.
Fluent in English with an international mind-set
Valid Swedish Work Authorization (Visa sponsorship is not offered for this Program)
