VESC aim to establish a good foundation for a long term relationship between Volvo Cars and students in various Master's Programmes. The concept will provide you as a student with a unique opportunity to experience and work in the very centre of the product development in the automotive industry.
Content
Summer job for 4-10 weeks throughout the summer period of 2018.
Thesis work during your Master's Programme.
In order to be eligible as a participant in the VESC programme, you need to be in your first of a 2-year Master's Programme. In addition, you need to be fluent in English. Some positions will require a valid driver's license.
We are looking for Master's students studying in the following areas
* Applied Mechanics
* Automotive Engineering
* Product Development
* Interaction Design and Technologies
* Software Engineering
* Computer Systems and Networks
* Systems, Control and Mechatronics
* Electric Engineering
* Computer Science / IT
* Ergonomics
* Design (Such as Mechanical Design, Material Design, Technical Design, Industrial Design)
* Vehicle Engineering
* Applied Physics / Mathematics
* Chemistry / Chemical Engineering
Your profile
We are looking for positive and curious individuals that is not afraid of taking initiatives. It is important to be a good team player as well as being able to work independently. Good cooperation and communication skills while being positive and having a committed attitude will help you through the programme. As a person you should be driven oriented and have an analytical mind-set.
In your cover letter you are welcome to motivate if there is a unit that you are more interested in or a specific topic that you have in mind for your thesis work.
