26324 ? EE Implementation support
The group Electrical and Electronics Implementation support within the Global Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department (GEEE) holds the vehicle perspective from an EE perspective. We supports the operations with trouble shooting, fault tracing, hardware coordination, default report coordination, software coordination, early phase engineering , project build add-ons, wiring harness/power cables making, viable electrical and electronics support for prototype builds/AE-activities etc. and support the VTC brand with S/RTO solutions/designs (EDS).
We are now looking for a an Vehicle electronics engineer (VEE).
Tasks and responsibilities:
The tasks of the vehicle electronics engineer is to support the operations with fault tracing (EE) in project trucks, early phase EE engineering, software downloading/programming, parameter setting of ECUs and trouble shooting of complex problems in lab/rig and truck environment. It is also necessary to have the competence/ability to do viable work, e.g. re-pinning cable harnesses, changing ECUs and routing of new cables etc.
The role carries the complete vehicle perspective (EE) and to understand the product as an end user will do. As an vehicle electronics engineer you will be a part of the Vehicle support, EEE team.
The role includes a considerable lot of work in the different Volvo facilities in- and outside of our office / workshop, therefore it?s important to be well-organized and take responsibility for completing tasks according to agreements. Traveling outside of Sweden may occur.

Qualifications and background:
University degree in electrical and electronics engineering or equivalent
Truck knowledge is a merit
Genuine interest in vehicle electronics engineering
5 or more years of working with electrical and electronics in vehicles
Computer experience (incl. MS Office) is a merit
CANalyser and Engineering Tool experience is a merit
Knowledge in TSP, Kola, Protus, Configurator, SE-Tool, ClearQuest is a merit
Experience in software development and handling is a merit
Good English knowledge is mandatory
Physical Requirements:
Due to the nature of this position it?s mandatory to be able to perform all elements in the process working in vehicles (climbing in and out of trucks, using tools in vehicles etc).
