Volume Analyst, Trucks

The volume planning department has the global responsibility for analysing and evaluating the global market volume demand for Trucks, Buses & Coaches and Engines. Our mission is to always have the latest and best input of current and future market demand to ensure that the correct planning decisions are taken.

One of our two volume analysts for Trucks will leave for a new position within Sales & Marketing, and we are now looking for his replacement. Work description
As our new volume analyst you will be involved in one of Scania's core processes, the Order to Delivery process. You will act as a link between Sales & Marketing and production by coordinating and communicating the market volume demand. This requires a close dialogue with people both at factory level and out on the markets.

One of the main tasks will be to analyse the Scania market volume demand in order for correct production planning decisions to be taken. Your responsibilities will be to gather information, analyse it together with Area Managers and Sales Directors at Trucks, draw conclusions and present them in a pedagogical and clear way at the monthly volume decision meeting. The market demand is used by production control to create the global production program, as well as support purchase and R&D with volume data. Since the decisions will have a direct impact on Scania's profitability, they are taken at the highest level within Scania.

Other tasks involve Scania's strategic long term volume plan, reports to Scania's management and board, as well as daily issues connected to order allocations and participation in ramp up/phase out projects.

Working as a volume analyst is to work with people, in many cases as the role of a moderator. The position will give you a wide contact network, at all levels of the company. You will also be part of our volume planning team and our strive to deliver outstanding volume forecasts in close collaboration with the market and through qualified analyses. The whole team is continuously working with business development in order to constantly improve our efficiency and the quality of our results.

Your profile
We are looking for a person with a positive attitude as well as good analytical skills. Preferably, you have an university degree and former work experience is highly valued. It's important that you are self motivated and can work independently towards defined targets. Skills in communication and cooperation are valued. You like to speak to an audience and you are fluent in English.
