hela Sverige We are looking for an experienced Visual Studio Developer Support Specialist for our customer. The position is a permanent appointment at Elan with placement of the customer in Stockholm.
Job description
You will work within a team of support engineers focused on resolving our Premier and Partner customers' technical issues. This requires scoping the customer's expectations and collaborating with others to meet those expectations in the shortest possible time. This includes providing customers with reliable technical solutions and a consistently exceptional service experience. This involves reactive remote support, working with and collaborating with colleagues other countries, mainly Spain, Italy and India
You will join the Swedish Developer Support team, working closely with Engineering Services teams and global escalation teams supporting Microsoft's Western European customers.
Competence profile
Technical / Functional Skills:
• Experience with Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010
• Development using C++ or managed languages, C#, F#, Visual Basic .NET
• .NET Framework development
• Practical experience of user mode debugging, both native & managed
Knowledge and experience of supporting one or more of the following:
• Development using UI technologies, WPF, Windows Forms, Silverlight, ActiveX Controls
• MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes)
• Development using Microsoft Expression Blend
• Installation, maintenance, management and troubleshooting Microsoft Team Foundation Server
• Software testing using Visual Studio 2010
• Deployment technologies including ClickOnce and MSI
• Configuring and troubleshooting .NET Security
• Troubleshooting installation of developer products
Personal Attributes / Interpersonal Skills:
• Customer focused
• Great team player and sharing of best practice
• Technically credible
• Excellent communication skills both spoken and written
• Able to work well under pressure and meet commitments
• Ability to communicate with international customers (cultural awareness)
• Able to work with remote colleagues and customers as part of Global English
• Willingness to work on site with customers as required
