hela Sverige Are you an awesome artist, passionate about making commercially successful games and creating the very best art to delight players? Awesome, we at the Stockholm Studio are looking for a talented Visual Development Artist to help us with current and working titles.
Rovio's Stockholm Studio is the studio behind the hugely popular Angry Birds 2, the bigger, badder and birdier sequel to the global phenomenon that put Angry Birds on the map. While they continue to expand and improve that title, they are developing new IPs and game ideas, specifically within the RPG genre, with the mission of becoming the best mobile RPG developer in the west. This presents a great opportunity for the studio to mix their experience with accessible, inclusive, mass-market games, with their personal love for RPGs. Their design pillars are: dynamic, character-driven, and highly social. They are motivated to create mid-core games that are both approachable and challenging.
You'll be working closely with the Art Director and senior artists to create appealing visual styles, worlds, and characters. But also work hands on with the projects as needed by creating appealing 2D assets.
Your responsibilities as a Concept Artist:
Research, explore and help define the visual style for our games
Create stylized concept art for characters, objects and environments
Iterate on existing designs to push the team's vision to higher levels
We're looking for someone who has:
Good culture in design and latest visual trends for RPGs
Strong composition and color skills
Ability to push your concepts to various levels of finish
A creative mindset to explore styles and ideas
Great visual communication skills
Fluency in English
