Within the technology stream Vehicle Motion and Energy Management, we develop system solutions and functionalities for Vehicle Dynamics, Vehicle Motion control and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems. These solutions must be safe, efficient and robust. With the introduction of a modern layered SW architecture, shorter SW development loops and deployments cycles -going from months to minutes, this puts high demands on our verification and validation processes and environments.

This is how you could make an impact
In this position you will lead the strategy development and implementation for virtual verification of vehicle motion management control systems, covering all layers of the SW architecture. You secure that our virtual verification systems and solutions are aligned between the different agile trains and organizations and that they are developed in line with applicable technology strategies according to our agreed processes, methods and tools. In this role you will collaborate across the organization to make sure that our virtual verification setup is prepared for the future.
Who are you?
We believe you are a curious, experienced specialist with a passion for virtual test & verification. You are open-minded and understand the value cooperation and collaboration. You are good at networking with other people; you like challenges and understand the value of having fun at work. As a leader you set the tone and path for the self-organizing teams to travel on. Therefore it is important that you have an innovative and creative mind-set in order to inspire and challenge your organization and colleagues. You also have a true can-do attitude, a strong focus on quality and a personal drive to reach the companies but also your own objectives and targets. In this role it is important that you understand how a successful virtual verification process contributes to the Volvo Group vision and strategy.
Qualifications:
Master Degree in engineering (Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Physics or similar)
Extensive experience from virtual verification of vehicle motion related control systems
Proven leadership skills with ability to inspire, drive, motivate and coach team members
Merits:
Knowledge of SW/continuous integration
Experience from agile development
Experience from project management and project planning
