The VP Marketing and Communications will lead strategic marketing for Accedian, both enterprise and telecommunications segments, and is responsible for defining and establishing the company's brand, go to market strategy, corporate and solution messaging, and all outbound and sales-centric communication and collateral.
This role also governs and drives Accedian's PR/AR engagement plan, and will represent Accedian in media and analyst engagements. As Accedian's voice and thought leadership steward, the VP Strategy and Communications will spearhead the creation of written content, will speak at industry engagements, and will guide other Accedian resources engaged in high-level outbound messaging.
This individual also works closely with product management, business, partner and channel development resources, ensuring they are supported with marketing programs and materials consistent with Accedian's strategy and the latest trends and competitive landscape. The role provides strategic direction and support to the CMO/CSO, product management and management team, and maintains market sizing data, key trends, segmentation and competitive positioning via interactions with key industry analysts.
Directing a team of marcom and content resources, the VP Marketing defines and develops digital, sales enablement, channel marketing, and lead generation strategies, and the content required to support marketing, sales enablement, channel / partner (co)marketing, and customer acquisition.
The ideal candidate has experience in network management, virtualization, data centers and cloud compute, telecom networking technology, and IT services.
Requirements
10 years experience in a similar role
Strong relationships with industry analysts, media, and key technology partners
Knowledge of active/synthetic and passive performance monitoring, management, QoS and QoE assurance solutions, and knowledge of competitive products in this space
Ability to develop trusting relationships with product management, sales teams and partners
Experience working with multinational PR agencies
Conversant in customer centric sales and challenger selling techniques
Solid organizational and project managements skills, including agile methods
Proven track record guiding distributed / remote teams to produce exceptional work within tight deadlines
Experience working with global sales teams, and international customers
Frequent travel required (30% expected) on a global basis.
