Role mission & context
As the VP of Technical Sales Support and Customer Adaptation you will be globally responsible for managing the Technical Sales Support Centers in the Global factories, as well as managing Customer Adaptation and Superstructure support.
Technical Sales Support and Customer Adaptation VP has the overall responsibility for the Technical support to the sales frontlines, assuring we are able to offer the customer the best application adapted to his needs.
A prerequisite for success is to develop and maintain effective cooperation and relationships with a number of stakeholders across Group Truck Sales as well as across the AB Volvo Group. You should work in an active and directional way to contribute to our ambition to become a true customer company.
As a manager for this unit you should provide a result driven and inspiring leadership, coordination and general direction to reflect The Volvo Way and promote the Company?s Mission, Vision and Wanted Position statements.
The position reports to SVP Vehicle Sales and is a member of the GTS Vehicle Sales management team.

Key responsibilities
Clearly formulate and implement the Technical Sales Support and Customer Adaptation plan and strategy
Run Technical Sales Support Centers in all Global factories
Secure short response time and efficient handling of Customer Adaptations solutions.
Develop and implement business rules for the Customer Adaptation process
Superstructure solutions from Global factories
Secure special vehicle request coordination and prioritization
Identify and implement best practice as well as to drive process and system commonality in the process within Volvo Trucks
To set and communicate appropriate objectives, initiate actions, monitor performance and follow-up results

Profile
The role requires a strong and inspiring leader with well-established networking ability and significant experience to provide strategic and operational direction for the Technical Support Services in a multi-brand business environment

Good understanding of the international truck business as well of the Volvo Group Trucks processes and ways of working, especially in the field of Truck applications.
A Master?s degree in commercial or technical area.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Experience from working close to our customers is a merit
