Role mission & context
As the VP of Sales and Operations Planning you will be globally responsible for driving the Sales and Operations Planning ensuring global demand planning process as well as Order and Delivery operations. This function is responsible for coordinating and managing the SOP process as well as the interface between Group Truck Sales, Group Truck Operations plus AB Volvo Sales & Operations Planning Process.
VP of Sales and Operations Planning has the overall responsibility uphold a SOP process that establishes trust and optimizes the balance between customer demand forecast, capital tied up objectives and manufacturing capacity planning.
A prerequisite for success is to develop and maintain effective cooperation and relationships with a number of stakeholders across Group Truck Sales as well as across the AB Volvo Group. You should work in an active and directional way to contribute to our ambition to become a true customer company.
As a manager for this unit you should provide a result driven and inspiring leadership, coordination and general direction to reflect The Volvo Way and promote the Company?s Mission, Vision and Wanted Position statements.
The position reports to SVP Vehicle Sales and is a member of the GTS Vehicle Sales functional management team.

Key responsibilities
Clearly formulate and implement the Sales and Operations Planning strategy
Run the monthly SOP process with a high level of quality, trust and business focus
Overall responsible for the long term and short term Volume Plan coordination (coordination of Total Market and Market share forecast).
Manufacturing interface in various projects
Run Order and Delivery operations in Global factories
Develop the global Order and Delivery process including tools and ensuring targets are met
Inventory management and lead-time reduction methodology
Create prerequisites to develop and follow up activities to shorten lead-time and capital tied up.
Responsible to identify and implement best practice as well as drive process and system commonality in the process.

Profile
The role requires a strong and inspiring leader with good networking skill and significant experience in sales and manufacturing processes and a demonstrated ability to provide strategic and operational direction for the team to work in a Global, multi-brand business environment

A Master?s degree in commercial or technical area
Fluent in written and spoken English
Experience from working close to our customers is a merit
