On the exiting journey to drive prosperity through transport solutions, in a context where technology develop fast, and customer-, as well as society demands change rapidly, we are now, within Complete Vehicle, looking for the next Vice President for Product Safety & Certification EU/Intl. When working towards the Volvo Group long-term targets to become 100% fossil free, 100% safe and 100% productive. Complete Vehicle plays an important role in securing that our products meet intended performance and feature readiness while being safe and compliant, hereby contributing to the success and productivity for our customers!
The Product Safety and Certification organization provide Group Trucks Technology (GTT) with expertise in the domains Vehicle Certification & Compliance, Product Safety and Process excellence. You have 3 direct reporting managers and the organization consists of 51 people on multiple sites. The organization is global and is tightly connected with the Product Safety and Certification organization in North America. As Vice President Product Safety and Certification EU/Intl, you will be leading a management team responsible for three functions with staff supporting all the GTT main sites. The Vice President Product Safety and Certification EU/Intl. will report to Senior Vice President Complete Vehicle in GTT and will be part of the Complete Vehicle global leadership team.

You will be driving areas which significant impact to GTT, and Volvo Group and you will be a key player to maintain the strong focus on Product Safety and Compliance. You bring a collaborative mindset and will be able to utilize this to drive topics forward together with many different stakeholders cross Volvo Group. We believe you come with a strong ownership mentality, you take pride in-, and celebrate together with your organization during success, but you make sure to support and guide during challenging and stressful times.
To be a strong candidate for the role, we believe you have:
MSc in Engineering, or equivalent
• 10 years management experience, including experience from leading global teams and leading leader positions
Excellent communication skills/Fluent in English
Ability to collaborate, negotiate, and compromise in a cross-functional and global context
Experience from dealing with authorities and external organizations
Handling budget and strategic responsibility such as being a member of governance
Experience from leading international Product Safety- and Certification organizations is highly meriting
