We are looking for an experienced business leader to take on the challenge of growing Volvo Penta's business in the industrial segment. The Product Management team initiates and leads activities to achieve long term profitability and competitiveness for Volvo Penta's global portfolio of products and services for the industrial segment.

You will lead a team responsible for strategy, business development, product planning, pricing and sales engineering. Whereas sales is the responsibility of the three Volvo Penta regions, your team's responsibility is to make sure the regions can sell a competitive portfolio of products and services targeted at our decided segments. The industrial segment represents 50% of Volvo Penta's sales and is Volvo Penta's prime growth area. The Vice President Product Management will have significant influence on the success of this business.

The team you will lead is based in Sweden and is highly dedicated to make Volvo Penta's investments in this area a success. In the daily work they collaborate closely with both the sales and product development organizations within Volvo Penta, as well as in direct contact with Volvo Penta's customers.

The successful candidate show strong business and customer orientation, communication skills, flexibility, drive and commitment. In addition, you are strategic, analytical and proactive. Your leadership involves, motivates and inspires.

The Vice President Product Management reports to the Senior Vice President Planning, Product Development and Purchasing (PPP) and will be part of the PPP management team.

Key Responsibilities and KPIs
As Vice President Product Management you will have the following key responsibilities:
Set segment strategy and commercial offer. You have full responsibility to define the Volvo Penta commercial offer towards industrial business.

Support commercial and key account activities. You will collaborate closely with the commercial organizations, the regions, to develop key account plans and interact with key customers.

Govern product development projects. The team governs product development activities by participating in the projects and typically act as steering committee chairmen.

Develop the team and lead day-to-day business. You have full responsibility to lead and develop the team in a way that maximizes Volvo Penta's success as well as each team member's potential.

Member of the PPP management team. The PPP management team covers several core processes of Volvo Penta, including Strategy, Product Management, Product Development and Purchasing. Each individual in the team has a great opportunity to influence the future of Volvo Penta.

Competence Profile & Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should have experience from:
Leading business and setting direction. We are looking for an individual with a commercial mindset and experience from developing business opportunities and aligning an organization towards challenging commercial goals.

Product & feature strategy. The successful candidate understands complex industrial products and has the capability to break down customer requirements into technical as well as service plans.

Commercial capability. You will frequently stand in front of our key customers, typically market leaders in their respective segments and discuss how we can help them develop their respective businesses further with the support of Volvo Penta.
