Software Skills is now looking for a VP of Engineering on behalf of a large client in central Gothenburg.

:: Description ::

You will lead, manage and inspire engineering teams developing next­-generation e­-commerce and data management platforms.

You should be a generalist who's passionate about agile development, software engineering and helping teams and individuals grow. You'll work closely with Product Management and report directly to the COO.

We offer you, at our HQ in Gothenburg, a key position in a fast moving company. We are committed to continually creating innovative products that help businesses grow.

:: Responsibilities ::

• Build and lead geographically dispersed software engineering teams to deliver state-of-the­-art-products

• Lead the engineering of a continuous development and testing lifecycle to bring features to market and measure their effectiveness

• Manage 20-­25 highly skilled engineers, including performance management and personnel responsibility

:: Skills & Requirements ::

• Bachelor's degree and/or MSc or equivalent experience

• 5+ years experience recruiting and managing teams of engineers, including performance management and personnel responsibility

• Agile management experience, primarily Scrum or Kanban, and ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast­paced environment

• Experience establishing and coordinating with remote teams

• A passion for e­-commerce
