VP Manufacturing
The main responsibility for the Vice President Manufacturing is to establish global manufacturing strategy, including sourcing, capacity, cost, etc. Also responsible for ongoing cost reduction, global logistics, and improvement of product quality.
Key responsibilities
• Manage network for product lines, including hardware and disposable; network includes direct and indirect reporting Baxter plants, as well as an extensive network of vendors around the world
• Develops global manufacturing strategies related to product sourcing, capacity planning, and product costing.
• Through staff, directs global logistics including purchasing, production planning, and inventory control.
• Drives ongoing cost reduction; accountable for manufacturing variations.
• Ensures ongoing improvement of product quality.
• Directs division environmental program.
• Develops manufacturing process and management expertise in organization worldwide.
Qualifications
Knowledge of plastics-related manufacturing and sterilization methods and processes as well as technical/electronics based manufacturing. Strong analytical and leadership skills.
10+ years manufacturing management experience in a GMP environment (or equivalent). Experience in complex assembly processes (manual and automated assembly). Experience with both domestic and international manufacturing sites, including new plant start-ups.
