hela Sverige Connected Solutions is a newly established unit that will lead the development of the Volvo Group's connected solutions and supporting capabilities to further strengthen the Volvo Group position and competitiveness in the area.
As Vice President Innovation Lab you will lead innovation in new services and solutions from idea generation to proof of concept. Main responsibility is to identify opportunities for service innovation based on connected vehicle technology that can improve our customers' performance and create valuable insights and new business opportunities for the Volvo Group. You will play a key role in establishing the function which will include teams responsible for new service innovation, advanced analytics, Proof of Concepts (POC's), customer pilots with customers, partners and future internal start-ups. The role requires an agile and networked based leadership style, open mindset and passion to deliver value for our customers.
The position reports to the SVP Connected Solutions and is a member of the Connected Solutions management team.
Key Responsibilities
As Vice President Innovation Lab, your key responsibilities are:
• Actively participate in forming the organization, set objectives and establish way of working
• Initiate and drive new service innovation projects from idea generation to proof of concepts
• Operate and deliver advanced analytics services and capabilities
• Collaborate with functions within Connected Solutions as well as relevant commercial and engineering teams within the Volvo Group to enable successful execution
• Secure hand-over of the innovation results for commercialization
• Develop the team and lead the day to day business
• Be a member of Connected Solutions Management team. As a member of the management team you will be involved in business development activities and other projects
Competence Profile & Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should have experience from:
• Experience from work with a lean/agile start-up approach to drive innovation in new business models working in cross-functional teams (customers, partners, commercial and engineering teams)
• Passion and interest in identifying opportunities in the connected vehicle eco-system where new innovations can improve our customers' performance and create valuable insights and new business opportunities for the Volvo Group
• Experience and proven track record in driving service development based on software technology
• Track record of taking innovation to commercialization
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Leadership experience and proven track record of leading leaders and teams
• Successful in building excellent working relationships and operating effectively as a member of a leadership team
• Excellent professional skills and ability to work in a fast paced, multicultural and diverse environment
Location & Timeline
