Your mission
As Vice President Human Resources for Sandvik Coromant, you have the strategic responsibility for our people agenda - looking at both current and future business needs. You also define which transformations we need to make, to continue staying two steps ahead in today's competitive market. This means ensuring an organization with a clear roadmap and broad understanding of how to establish operational excellence, build competence for the future and enable employee development.
A vital part of your role is managing the many different stakeholders and balancing the complexity of our global and multicultural setting. This takes structure, engagement and an open mind, as you lead our HR community to deliver both HR processes and addressing business needs. You are a true role model for our culture and values, and a key member of the management team of Sandvik Coromant, as well as the HR management team of Sandvik Machining Solutions. Sharing your competence and experience, you are also a trusted advisor and an important sounding board to the President of Sandvik Coromant.
The home office for this position is flexible within Europe - although your presence is required in Sandviken, Sweden, on a regular basis - and global travel is a natural part of your job.
Your background and characteristics
We are looking for someone with a relevant academic background and - more importantly - extensive experience from managing and understanding the wide spectrum of HR in a global, complex and multicultural arena. You have a leadership style that matches our company culture of fair play, diversity and inclusion, as well as employee development. You are used to working in customer-centric organizations, with a former career that includes strategic planning, managing structural changes and creating great collaborations. This role also comes with a rather high exposure and you are comfortable in the spotlight; communicating and presenting your message in a clear and inspirational manner, which means that you must be fluent in English.
You are guided by integrity, curiosity and a holistic perspective in your quest to turn strategy into action.
