About the job
As VP Group Controlling and Accounting you are responsible for maintaining high quality standards in the Group reporting processes, while continuously developing and implementing new, more efficient processes and tools for this.
In this era of digitalization, you are therefore a key stakeholder and driver for the implementation of the zero reporting initiative and to support all activities that will take the group reporting and controlling activities to the next level. Furthermore, the Group Controller is together with the CEO and CFO of the Group, also actively involved in many strategically important business decisions, including larger acquisitions.
The responsibility covers three teams, Group Accounting (9 employees), Group Digital Finance (20 employees including Group Reporting Solutions with 11 employees), and the accounting and controlling team for the parent company (10 employees). The VP Group Controlling is also the Chair of the Group 's Accounting and Business Control Council (ABC). The position will report to Peter Kinnart, CFO of the Atlas Copco Group as from July 17, 2021.
Mission
Secure a reliable, efficient and high quality Group Financial reporting for the Atlas Copco Group and the mother company
Stay in the forefront of external and internal reporting requirements and adapt the group's financial reporting structure accordingly
Constantly develop a state of the art consolidation process via efficient systems and innovative analytical tools and by doing so, support the Group's mission of sustainable profitable growth
Provide excellent financial analysis to Group Management.
Lead the development towards zero reporting and digitalization in accounting, business control and reporting in the Group
Chair the Group's Accounting and Business Control Council, fostering close collaboration amongst all business area's and group
Play an active role in the competence development of the accounting and business control area as well as contribute actively to developing the financial acumen of the group's business
Foster the talent pool in financial corporate functions to support the creation of a pipeline of future leaders in the accounting and business control area

What we expect from you
Experience requirements
Good understanding in accounting and Group Consolidation system(s)
Thorough controlling background
Successful managerial experience from other areas of the Group
Successful leadership of several teams
Used to communicate with, and present to, small and large audiences
Knowledge
Good working knowledge of finance and administration procedures
Fluent in English, written and spoken. Other language skills are an advantage.
High level of digital maturity
Education
University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Personality
Self-motivated, result oriented, able to work independently
Analytical approach to problem solving and risk management
Strong focus on quality, accuracy, timeliness and orderly work
Team player able to motivate and communicate with people
Ability to lead projects in the area of accounting, business control and consolidation
Furthermore, you have a positive, can-do attitude, i.e. you always "see the glass half full, never half empty"!
