hela Sverige As VP Group Business Control you will have global responsibility for the performance and development of Group Business Control in the Group Finance organization. You will report to the SVP Group Reporting Tax & Control at Volvo Group Headquarters.
We are now looking for a Vice President Group Business Control
Group Business control has the overall responsibility for performance matters and governance of business controlling at Group level. The department develops policies and principles for operational and financial steering in the Volvo Group and is driving and developing processes and methods for strategic and short term related performance management and financial planning and forecasting.
The main mission is from a Group perspective to support senior management teams in respective Truck Division, Business Area, Group Function and Group Executive Board as well as other stakeholders in understanding and driving the current and future financial performance of the Group.
As head of Group Business Control you will lead a team of 16 controllers. You hold strong and proven leadership skills from leading in a global organization and has a strong interest in people. You are experienced in managing ambiguity and have an ability to deal judgementally with areas that do not have a clear solution or outcome. You have high quality in decision making. Business and result oriented with high drive and ability to see the holistic picture is a necessity. Furthermore, you have proven excellent ability to organize, structure and drive processes.
You have strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of integrity and flexibility. Experience from senior management exposure is a requirement. You have an ability to network effectively across the organization and to build enduring relationships across functional and geographical areas.
Main activities and responsibilities
Ensures a Group view and shareholder perspective in decision making by securing that Group Senior Management has correct information regarding financial consequences and risks
Proactive involvement in critical business decisions with financial impact
Operationally oriented financial analysis on a monthly basis
Establish and maintain a set of key ratios, for the Group performance measurement and improvement, incl financial early warnings, estimates and financial planning
Controlling governance and financial steering principles
Proactive communication within the finance community in order to facilitate effective processes and common understanding around strategic development areas
Driving and developing business control related processes in the Volvo Group
Ad hoc performance reports with purpose to increase senior management ability to drive financial performance across the Group
Actively participate in cross functional committees and other meeting forums
Preparation of reports and material for the AB Volvo Board
Critical competencies for the position
University degree and/or a MBA in relevant financial field(s) with minimum 8 - 10 years of professional experience from senior financial management positions
High and solid leadership experience from leading in a global organization
Extensive understanding of the Volvo Group businesses, processes and steering model, providing prerequisites for judgmental decision making
Solid experience from accounting, finance, business control or similar
Strong analytical and communication skills
Experience from the entire value chain e.g. product, manufacturing, retail etc. is a merit
Fluency in business English, spoken and writte
