Volvo Group Telematics enables & accelerate customer-oriented off-board telematics service development & delivery. Volvo Group Telematics supports the Volvo Group and external customers in the Automotive Car OEM segment, such as BMW and Volvo Cars through the WirelessCar brand.
Volvo Group Telematics is looking for Application and Production Support technician to reinforce its Global Support organization. The Application and Production Support technician is responsible for providing support services to our customers and their end users according to the Service Level Agreement. This will require communication with different AB Volvo sites and departments as well as external customers, suppliers and partners. The Application and Production Support technician carries out 2nd and 3rd line technical support. The telematics solutions are dependent on a high availability which put high demands on attention and care in the daily work.
Key responsibilities:
• Support customers by handling incidents and requests
• Analysing incidents and problems
• Identifying potential solution defects
• Being focal point within the support team for one or more solutions, including collecting and communicating information which is relevant to the global support assignment
• Propose changes and improvements that make the application more efficient and/or reduce operation or maintenance cost
• Is involved in maintaining and improving the runtime delivery to ensure a stable and continuously improved service
• Participate in the planning of application maintenance and enhancement activities
• Participate in the project test phase
• Document information which will enable knowledge sharing and continuously improved delivery
Main competences and experience:
• You have academic qualifications and/or experience in all or most of the following areas:
o Oracle 10/11
o Java
o Unix/Linux
o Scripting
o SQL
• Experience from telecom and/or vehicle industry
