Work description

The Vessel Superintendent is responsible for a group of vessels and shall assist the vessels in their daily operation and follow up and monitor short-and-long-term maintenance. You have the authority to make purchases of technical supplies/spare parts and any other decisions you seem necessary for the maintenance of the vessels. You will have budget responsibility with strong requirements on cost efficient daily technical operation of the vessels and report against KPI:s. You will be stationed in Gothenburg, travelling and assistance on different yards around northern Europe is a natural part of the work.

Essential job duties and responsibilities

• Overall management of the assigned vessels
• Implementing safety and environmental standards so that the assigned vessels are capable of operating safely
• Ensuring that the crew are adequately supported to maintain the vessel to comply with classification and flag-state requirements.
• Vessels budgets
• Engaging in resolving technical issues for the assigned vessels
• Close follow up on the vessel's maintenance ensuring optimal operational efficiency
• Ensuring vessel is tradable at all times
• Securing all ship staff adhere to the company quality guidelines and procedures

Are you the one?

• Marine Engineer with excellent results
• In-depth marine experience preferably obtained from both onboard and ashore within wind or oil & gas industry
• Excellent at team working and motivating vessel staff
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
• Customer focus and ability to communicate easily with both technical and commercial staff
