VESC - Volvo Cars Engineering Student Concept

At Research & Development you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. Are you interested in design and connected car technology? Do you share our passion for people, the environment and our urge to create a superior driving experience? Research and Development is the place for you to prosper.

VESC aim to establish a good foundation for a long term relationship between Volvo Cars and students in various Master's Programmes. The concept will provide you as a student with a unique opportunity to experience and work in the very centre of the product development in the automotive industry.

Content:

Summer job for 4-10 weeks throughout the summer period of 2013.
Thesis work during your Master's Programme.

In order to be eligible as a participant in the VESC programme you need to be in your first or second year of a 2- year Master's Programme. In addition, you need to be fluent in English and/or Swedish.

The following units within R&D are participating in the VESC programme:

• Vehicle Engineering
• Active Safety and Chassis
• Powertrain Engineering
• Electrical Propulsion Systems

We are looking for Master's Students studying the following:

• Applied Mechanics
• Automotive Engineering
• Electric Power Engineering
• Product Development
• Ergonomics
• Systems, Control and Mechatronics
• Sound and Vibration
• Computer Science
