At Manufacturing Engineering, you will be a key contributor for our global production team that makes sure that the cars we build meet the highest expectations from our customers. In close collaboration with colleagues in other business units, we develop and implement flexible and efficient production systems with people in focus. VESC ME aim to establish a good foundation for a long term relationship between Volvo Cars and students in various Master's Programmes. The concept will provide you as a student with a unique opportunity to experience and work in the very centre of the product and process development in the automotive industry.

Content
Summer job (approx. 8 weeks/year) and Master thesis:

• 2016 will give you experience of working at production line, building our cars.
• 2017 focuses on specific manufacturing engineering deliveries. It will provide you with a broader understanding and building your skills within the field.
• 2018 Thesis work during your Master's Programme.

In order to be eligible as a participant in the VESC programme you need to be in your final year of Bachelor Programme and applying for Master's Programme with the following areas below. In addition, you need to be fluent in English.

We are looking for students from following Bachelor's program:

• Automation Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Industrial Engineering and Management

And who is applying for Master's program within the area of:

• Production Engineering
• Automation and/or Mechatronic Engineering

• Thrives of working together with other people and good skills of creating good relationships
• Passion for cars and engineering technique
• Enthusiasm of working in an virtual environment
• Flexible attitude and enjoyment of working in an fast changing industry
• Ability to structure and have an holistic view to be able to prioritize
