Your workplace
Security and Defence Solutions, a business area of Saab, offers command and control systems, airborne early warning systems, civil security systems and solutions, training and simulation, as well as telecom carrier.
At the division for Communication Systems, we develop software based products and solutions for land-, naval- and airbased military communication systems.
The Communication Development department is located in Järfälla and Linköping. With Software Defined Radio (SDR) and Networking technologies as a base we do product development and research. We are involved in several exciting projects with international stakeholders, and we now need to strengthen our team with versatile developers to our sites in Järfälla and Linköping.
Your role
Software developer with a wide span of possible programming tasks, from embedded systems with DSP and GPP-processors running DSP/BIOS, Linux or other operating systems to Windows or Linux-based applications for PC.
Your qualifications
You should have:
• Extensive experience of software development for different platforms and operating systems
• Deep knowledge of C++
• Knowledge of C
It is an advantage if you also have experience of:
• Model driven development using UML
• Development using the MS .NET framework
• Agile development methods, such as SCRUM
The development environments being used range from command line tools to for example TI Code Composer Studio, Eclipse and MS Visual Studio 2010.
You feel comfortable expressing yourself in English, written as well as orally, and preferrably also in Swedish.
You presumably hold a BSc, MSc or eqivalent, and have several years of work experience. You like working in a team, but can also work independently.
