Verification Simulation Engineer
The section Electric Propulsion Systems System Integration (EPS System Integration) is part of the Propulsion Strategy and Innovation department within R&D. Within Volvo Cars we closely cooperate with product planning, other engineering units, purchasing, and manufacturing and aftermarket. We also have deep cooperation with suppliers from all over the world as well as with academia and research organizations.
At the engineering department of EPS, we are responsible of design and deliver Electrical Drive Systems (El machines and Inverters), High Voltage Battery Systems as well as Power Supply and Charging Systems for electrified vehicles.
We are now looking for a Verification Simulation Engineer who will perform simulations for the hybrid high voltage battery system with the purpose of testing and verifying functionality and requirements on software components. The goal is to combine efficient formal test methods with statistical methods, to both catch faulty assumptions and bugs as early as possible and to build up a test suite with high test coverage, guaranteeing quality and legacy compliance.
Most of the modelling and testing is performed using Matlab/Simulink, together with externally and internally developed tools.
Job profile:
* Develop current and new test models within Simulink.
* Continue to develop test strategies for formal and statistical verification
* continuously develop working process and procedures.
* Cooperation with the design team for all SW components
* Deliver test results in a structured way.
* Analyse the simulation test results and give proposals on how to improve design and calibration data.
Your profile:
* Experienced in Matlab/Simulink
* Python and C/C++ knowledge
* Structured, data driven and good documentation skills.
* Integrity, courage and personal energy.
* Cooperative, transparent, good communication skills.
* Business oriented
* Good English skills, verbally and in writing
* Driving license
