On-board Telematics (OBT) is a global organization within GTT Vehicle Engineering, established to secure connected vehicles supporting the increasing demand for soft products. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management, uptime services and advanced vehicle services such as driver assistance and fuel reduction, targeting reduced costs as well as increased revenues. The telematics components build a global telematics platform utilized by the brands within the Volvo group. The products developed at GTT have a complex functionality, which is divided into a set of independent E2E (End-to-End) functions. When developing the E2E functions at OBT, we strive for a balance between commonality and brand distinction. This requires careful communication and coordination with different stakeholders such as Product Planning, Brand representatives and other Engineering departments. OBT platform and technology department develops and verifies embedded systems that integrate with the vehicle electronic architecture and the telematics back office systems. You will join a tight team of highly skilled engineers, well organized with colleagues in USA, France, India and Japan.
We are looking for a Verification Framework Lead to lead and manage the work to develop the automatic test frame work software used to verify the telematics products. You will work with a great team that develops the automatic test frame work, performs verification on sub-system and full system level. The team is also closed connected to all sites in the Telematics organization. You will be a key player in shaping the future telematics Verification team!

Verification Framework Lead

Core Responsibilities
Globally responsible for the Framework Software- AutoDev
Technically lead the Test SW development, as creating strategy, planning and coordinate work
Develop and lead process improvements for the Framework Software - AutoDev
Develop automatic test methods and tests for Embedded Software
Lead, guide and train new users of the Test Framework Software
Responsible for automatic test that are run during the nights
Perform verification on telematics product

Required Qualifications
Master's degree in electronics / computer engineering or equivalent education
Experience from working as Verification lead or Scrum Master
Deep understanding of software development
Embedded software development in C/C++ or python
Good knowledge in electronics and IT-systems
Minimum 5 years working experience in product development
Well spoken and written English

Meriting Qualifications
We consider experience from technical leadership of SW development or verification to be a merit. We also see experience from development of automatic test methods for embedded software, and understanding of software development to be beneficial. Telematics market knowledge is also qualifying.

Personal Skills
As a Verification Framework Lead within On-board Telematics you are expected to be independent, patient and have an inspiring leadership. You should be able to develop automatic test software strategies, plan and lead the test framework software development to meet all products need. As we work in a multi-project environment you must be able to drive your tasks to closure on time and be able to work independently and with integrity. You should be a network builder and have an open multi-cultural mind-set as the test methods are developed globally. We expect you to enjoy working in teams
