The Product Development Unit (PDU) is design responsible for most of Ericsson's Cables, Cable assemblies and Network products. The PDU resources are located in Kista, Hudiksvall and Falun. At the moment around 80 persons works within the Product Development Unit whereof 30 in Falun.
Test and Verification is a section within the Product Development Unit responsible for test, verification and material development in power cables. It means being responsible for the verification of our products, and the technical approval of our designs as well as support our development.
Job description
You will work with administration and hands on test and verification, development of high voltage products (12-245 kV) and test methods in a highly creative environment in our high voltage laboratory. Measurements includes: type tests, voltage tests, measurement of partial discharges (defects) in the cables. AC/DC (High Voltage)
Part of your work will involve interpretation of international industrial standards and applying them to test objects. Maintenance and development of the lab facility is a part of the work as well as the possibility to participate in development projects.
Qualifications
To be a successful candidate you are structured, self motivated and able to plan and execute assignments individually or in teams. You have a strategic perspective and excellent oral and communication skills. You are driven and not afraid of making independent decisions if needed.

Experience and qualifications:
• At least B. Sc High voltage engineer or equivalent.
• Knowledge of high voltage systems, up to 245 kV is preferable.
• Proficient knowledge of Swedish and English.
• A high safety approach.
• Structured ways of working and knowledge of MS Office.
• Prior experience of high voltage systems, high voltage measurements and/or experience as a field jointer is an advantage.
