This is what are we looking for
We are looking for a junior well-educated engineer to support our field test team. You need to work in a systematic and logical way and have a drive to finish your tasks on time and with quality. Our field test team will help with training to ensure you get up and running in your new role.
What you will do from day to day
Participating in planning of test sessions
Perform operator and customization related test and report result
Executing the test sessions and following up on issues. Validate and verify fixed issue with new SW version
Perform in-depth analysis of found issues, within area of expertise, in order to provide developers with needed information
Work both with simulated and live environment, depending on what support that is needed
Work close with development teams, network vendors and operators
Collect field test information (test routes, network specific scenarios, network configuration)
Driving long term quality work by continuously improving test methods, test suite, documentation and test process.
Operator customer acceptance test onsite support. Validate operator reported issue
Travel to perform testing will be necessary from time to time
Write test specifications and test instructions for our areas of responsibility

In Lund we mainly work with Research, specializing in 5G, 6G & IoT; Software Development for Sony products such as Xperia smartphones and Bravia TVs; New Business, e.g., the Sony Startup Acceleration Program Europe; and Design.
Operator & Market Verification (OMV) is a global organization within Sony with the main responsibility to secure the test coverage for Operator and Market requirements. Focus for OMV is to test the software and the phone as a complete system where functions interact with internal environment and/or external environment of the phone, all with a customer focus at hand. OMV is involved in testing all mobile phones developed by Sony Mobile.

Competences we are looking for
Relevant university degree or equivalent.
Experience within Telecommunication is meritorious.
Knowledge in GERAN, UTRAN, LTE and 5G is a plus.
Knowledge in IMS, VOLTE and VoWifi is a plus.
Knowledge in analyzing and debugging logs is a plus.
Fluent in English, verbal and writing are needed as we work in a Global organization.
Great communication skills and a good team player
Strong interest in finding faults and to chase the solution for them.
A driven passion for constantly learning new technologies.
Driving license is a plus.
