Venture Capital Investment Manager
NFT Ventures is an early stage venture capital fund that invests in Financial Technology companies. To date, NFT Ventures has 25 public investments in aspiring growth companies. With strong sector-specific experience and an extensive network that spans the financial services industry, NFT Ventures has been able to create an attractive platform for promising entrepreneurs and startups.
To expand the team, NFT Ventures is looking for an Investment Manager.
How you will help us
You actively support our portfolio companies in strategic, operational, technical, and other matters. With your strong background in the FinTech industry, you use your experience and your network to continuously increase the chances of success for our portfolio companies. In the board of our companies, you represent NFT Ventures in an appropriate and responsible way and always keep the best interests of the respective portfolio company in mind. While focusing on our portfolio companies, you actively tap into your network to find promising entrepreneurs or startups that can benefit from investments by NFT Ventures.
A typical day for you at NFT Ventures might contain some combination of the following:
• Prepare for and participate in a board meeting for one of your portfolio companies
• Follow-up on the board meeting, prepare promised material or make relevant connections
• Have a lunch meeting with a key contact in your network to understand recent developments in the industry
• Prepare a list of potential companies that NFT Ventures should look into
• Participate in a presentation by a company that seeks funding from NFT Ventures
• Evaluate the business model of a potential investment and discuss the case internally
• Negotiate the purchase price and other terms of the deal for selected investment cases
• Attend a relevant meet-up or conference (e.g. Slush or Money20/20) to represent NFT Ventures
What we expect from you
We expect that you are willing to take a seat in the board of some of our portfolio companies and understand your responsibility to represent NFT Ventures' interests. You are able to adapt to a rapidly changing market environment and do not shy away from hard decisions. With your experience in entrepreneurship, you feel connected to the entrepreneurs and startups you support and that NFT Ventures reaches out too.
Your skill set and experience might look like the following:
• Strong background in the financial services sector
• Keen business sense with the ability to spot a good idea at an early stage
• Experience building and growing companies
• Passion for supporting talented and aspiring entrepreneurs
