Through this transformation, Scania will adapt from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to also being a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Mobility Solutions is our new business area with the mission to lead Scania's ambition to take a larger role in the transport ecosystem. Today Mobility Solutions primarily focus on driving Scania's autonomous transport roadmap and providing Transport-as-a-Service (LOTS Group). Tomorrow, we look to develop and deliver new businesses supporting Scania's long-term growth and profitability through our new Corporate Venturing function.
The position
At Scania, we are currently setting up our corporate venturing function which will strengthen our capabilities to tap into new revenue pools by exploring new ideas and start and grow new ventures. We are looking for a Venture Building Expert to secure that we are in the forefront when it comes to creating new, successful ventures. You will work in near collaboration with both the function core team and our selected ventures. You will be reporting to Head of Strategy at Mobility Solutions.

Key Tasks
As we are at the early stages of establishing our Corporate Venturing business, we are recruiting high performing talents to both accelerate new business ventures and a small, tight core team to run and operate the function. In this role, you will be part of our small core team with the main task to run the function but will also be strongly involved in work with the Mobility Solutions management team and supporting the selected ventures.
Your key tasks will be:
• Develop and run our Corporate venturing function
• You will continuously monitor and balance our venture portfolio
• You will proactively assess and evaluate potential business opportunities and promote ventures for further funding
• You will set the strategic roadmap for our venturing function
• External monitoring - Stay attentive, what is going on in the continuously changing environment - you will always have the answer
• Network - you have a strong presence in the start-/scale-up landscape and will be our key player in the community
• Coordination - drive the symbiosis of various initiatives like intrapreneurship programs, venture capital funds and external accelerators
• Communication - you will be one of our key communicators to support the success of establishing the function and to attract financing

Requirements
• You are a tireless inspirer - You probably influence people merely by your presence and have vast experience and innate communicative savviness
• You have a doer mentality combined with high strategic capabilities
• You have vast experience from working with scale-ups or successful startups
• You have experience from leading venture functions or similar processes, most likely within another industrial company
• You have extensive experience of delivering with high precision in stressful and complex situations
• You have a high ability to build and develop lasting relationships to drive change
• You have a proven track record of creating effective teams and strong stakeholder management capabilities
• You are well known in the landscape of start-ups and possess deep knowledge of dramatically fast-growing companies
• You have strong command, both verbal and written, of the English language
