You will be part of an experienced and highly performing simulation & analysis team working within many different CAE areas. Your role and key responsibility is to drive and develop the area of Vehicle Simulation. You develop new methods and processes, build engine and vehicle models, perform simulations, analyse and communicate results.
Vehicle simulation is a crucial part within the fast growing area of Electromobility. Simulations are needed in order to understand differences in efficiency and performance between conventional, hybrid and full electric drivelines in the complete vehicle. Powertrain dimensioning, optimized vehicle operation, battery life prediction, charging strategies are examples of simulation outputs.
I addition to the vehicle simulations, you will be part of the 1-D engine performance simulation team. Build detailed engine models and support the projects with simulations and analysis. Build and deliver FRM engine models to the VIRTEC team.
The main analysis tool is GSP (Global Simulation Platform) which is an internal developed Volvo software. You will also use Matlab, Simulink, ICES and GT-power in your daily work.
