Vehicle Quality Engineer
The Quality Reliability Team (QRT) is responsible to represent the customers in vehicle development and innovations during the product development phases. The vehicles shall meet and fulfill the customer's requirements regarding product quality and quality assurance in the projects. This is done by validate complete vehicles on proving ground in order to ensure that product meets customer requirements.
As a Vehicle Quality Engineer your responsibilities are for example to manage test activities, analyse, handshake and develop tool and process in order to keep QRT flexible and powerful.
The role contains also of tight communication internally with R&D, TQM/BQM as well externally towards LYNKCO Quality and supplier of test activity.
Operational development is an important aspect of the role, where you will work with establishing a global process for Quality Reliability Testing, and align across the Geely organisation, e.g. in order to make sure that we make use of competencies across the organisation in an efficient way.
In this role you will report to Vice President Product Development Qulity and you will work tightly with a team of three people in the Quality Reliability Testing group at CEVT.
Responsibility and Authorities.
* In cooperation with a team of people, prepare test activities on a proving ground.
* Proactively have full control over maturity of functionality, subsystem, SW and components
* Coordinate in cooperation with Proving Ground, validation of new designed features or HW/SW
* Receive, review and understand quality items from a Customer perspective reported from Quality Assurance / Reliability Testing and then managing statistics
* Force and follow-up corrective actions & solutions towards R&D
* Identify and implement solutions to stand still cars
* Develop new statistics and manage SW applications
* Analysis of results, communication with R&D organizations.
* Operational development
Suitable background and profile:
* Education in Quality Management and related tools, Six Sigma Blackbelt preferable.
* Built up a solid knowledge of Quality Tools and methods, you probably have at least a couple of years operational work within quality
* Experience from Product Change Management
* Sharepoint competence
* MS Office competence
* Excellent written and verbal communication in English
As a person you are highly self-motivated and able to work independently. We believe that you have strong problem-solving skills and an analytical approach. You enjoy taking the lead and feel comfortable in working autonomously and flexible. Also, you are communicative, personable and have a strong drive to succeed. In addition to this you are comfortable with and able to drive many parallel activities.
If you have experience of ISO9001, Six Sigma, Lean Production, SCRUM, FMEA it's an extra merit.
