We are now looking for a Vehicle Offer Leader.
Scope
Cars within Product Creation owns the car products and secures that our product offer is optimal over time, and stays in demand, by strategic product updates. We have the cradle to grave responsibility. The Vehicle Offer Leader works closely with the Vehicle Product Owner and has the technical scope of the product. Besides creating and keeping our products desirable, we also seize and analyse business opportunities in general linked to our car products. We live and breathe cross-functional. Interaction with other departments and organisations is vital and everyday work.
Your Key tasks
You are the go-to person regarding the technical content of the product. You are not the technical expert per se, but you have technical understanding, have the network within R&D and can translate the experts' words to a wider audience. You ensure that the future product is in line with customer needs and is both competitive and profitable.
* You drive and document the product offer in the Vehicle Binder, which balances attributes, strategies, product cost, investment, time, revenue and desired offer structure
* You inform the markets about the product offer via the Product Documentation Tool (PDT), where you keep the product description updated over time
* You sign off the Main dimensions and Official Data
* You lead the Product Offer Meeting for a specific product
You and your skills
You have lots of drive and like taking your own initiative and ensuring ownership. You are curious and structured. You are analytical and strive to make things better, which you do by driving change. Excellent communication skills and knowledge of how to communicate with a range of roles, from technical experts to pure marketing people. You build trust by transparency and respectfulness. You love to keep things simple and take out the essence in things and swiftly move between an overall perspective and a more detailed focus. You have an extensive network within Volvo Cars and good understanding of how the Product Development System work and how business is made. Cross-functional experience is a requirement, and you are a true collaborator!
Experience in structure authorization systems and/or Lotus Notes is highly beneficial for this position.
We believe that you have a university degree; experience from R&D could be beneficial as well as project management experience from relevant industry. Good leadership skills and good writing skills, especially in English is essential.
