Position description:

We are now looking for a Vehicle Motion Systems Engineer with Functional Safety experience.

Description:

The role is within Vehicle Motion SW and Controls. The primary work is systems engineering in the vehicle motion domain for the TS project at NEVS. The work will include development and maintenance of functional safety related work products, such as development of a safety case, thus experience of working with functional safety are required.

The person in this role will be part of a vehicle motion team that manages a set of vehicle motion related controllers, supplier interactions, component requirements, system requirements and supplier deliverables.

We are searching for an engineer that can work within the vehicle motion domain with a system perspective and strengthen the team with functional safety knowledge.

Tasks, responsibility and authority:

• System Design and maintenance of the vehicle motion system design
• Development and maintenance of safety case
• Refinement and maintenance of functional and technical safety concepts
• Root cause analysis, and find solutions to identified issues.
• Collaboration with the Functional Safety Manager
• Collaboration with Component Owners
• Collaboration with Simulation and Test Engineers
• Collaboration with suppliers and customers
• Collaboration with NEVS engineers at different departments and locations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or higher degree
• Experience in systems engineering
• Experience of develop safety critical systems
• Fluent in English both spoken and written
• Driver license for vehicle
