We are looking for an ambitious and highly skilled Vehicle Concept Engineer (VCE) to join our Concept Development group. As VCE you will lead the concept integration work in the Pre Program phase. This is an important and central role in the product development process. As VCE you will be responsible for geometry concepts and system integration on a vehicle level. Your responsibility will include delivery of 3D CATIA data such as robust geometry concepts, handling system solutions and attributes. You will also deliver technical input to Product Design as program prerequisites.
The group Concept Development is part of the business unit Strategy & Vehicle Concepts. Our responsibility is to lead the geometry integration work. This is done within R&D for concepts and system solutions across all R&D departments, Product Design and Manufacturing in order to deliver solutions from concept phase to final data judgment. Main responsibilities
• Lead the integration of system solutions
• Deliver prerequisites for the balancing work on vehicle level for systems, attributes and manufacturing requirements
• Deliver geometry agreed 3D CATIA setup data for program start
• Deliver technical input to Product Design
• Lead vehicle integration meetings
• Deliver creative and competitive concept solutions on vehicle level
• Hands on approach for solving issues to completeness
Required qualifications
• Vast CAD Engineering experience (>12 years) in automotive industry
• Skilled in CATIA V5 and Vis Mockup (or equivalent CAD system)
• Extensive automotive concept development experience in the Pre Program phase
• University degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge in Teamcenter Engineering is meritorious
