The Mechanical Architecture & Concept is part of the Vehicle Hardware Business Unit. Our responsibility is to lead the mechanical integration work cross functionally, involving Engineering, Product Design, Manufacturing, Service and Attributes in order to deliver robust and feasible vehicle concepts in annual work and pre-program.
As a Vehicle Concept Engineer (Mechanical Integration) you will lead the concept integration work in annual and pre-program phase. This is a very important and central role in the product development process. As the Vehicle Concept Engineer you will be responsible for conducting architecture and concept studies on a vehicle level. The responsibility includes delivery of robust mechanical concepts using 3D CAD-data as well as meeting with Attribute, Manufacturing and Service requirements. The position will also deliver technical input to Product Design as program prerequisite.
Main responsibilities
Lead the mechanical integration work in annual and pre-program phase
Deliver robust and cross functional agreed CATIA 3D data at Program Start
Deliver technical input to Product Design
Deliver creative and competitive concept solutions on vehicle level
Lead vehicle integration meetings
Conduct mechanical architecture studies
Required qualifications
University degree in Mechanical Engineering
Good knowledge in 3D Modeling software
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Extensive automotive experience (>10 yrs) within concept development
Preferred Qualifications
Good knowledge in Teamcenter Visualization (Visualizing Data)
Proficiency with CATIA 3D Version 5
Personal qualities
High ability to lead cross functional teams
