What do we offer
Volvo Car Group has a complex business with a broad variety of issues in the area of VAT and Indirect Tax. The VAT and Indirect Tax function consist of four persons and has a global responsibility for VAT and Indirect Tax matters and is responsible to secure a correct, tax efficient and compliant VAT and Indirect Tax reporting within the group through continuous contact with a number of internal and external functions as well as in projects.
Group Tax is organized within Group Finance and consists of 25 persons in Sweden, US and China, specialized within corporate income tax, VAT, social security charges and transfer pricing. The work within Group Tax involves extensive contacts both within Volvo Cars and externally with tax authorities, consultancy firms etc. This gives a tremendous opportunity for broadened experience and networking within Volvo Cars and externally in Sweden and worldwide.
What you 'll do
For this VAT and Indirect Tax position within Group Tax, we are now looking for a person with strong knowledge about VAT and Indirect Tax who wants to be part of an active group in a dynamic environment. The position reports to Head of VAT and Indirect Tax.
As a VAT and Indirect Tax Experienced Expert you will actively participate in day-to-day business transactions and projects to analyze and approve from a VAT and Indirect Tax perspective. This means also to develop and improve compliance, procedures and controls within the VAT and Indirect Tax Area and monitor the Swedish VAT and Indirect Tax Return of Volvo Car Corporation.
With in-house advisory to different stakeholders in finance, foreign affiliates and other departments, you will ensure fulfilment of legal requirements. In addition you will support in the digitalization of the VAT and Indirect Tax area and train the organization within the area of VAT and Indirect taxes.
We see this role as challenging and you will build expertise within the VAT and Indirect Tax area, develop in functional leadership and continue to grow your understanding of the automotive and Volvo Cars business.
Do you fit the profile
* You have a University degree in Law or Finance, or equivalent
* Around 10 years of experience working with indirect taxes e.g. from large companies, Tax Agency, audit firm or similar experience
* Strong analytical capabilities with a strong sense for details
* Well-developed Business Acumen and integrity
* Knowledge in Accounting
* Experience in working and leading projects
* Excellent leadership skills
* Excellent argumentation and negotiation skills
* Fluent in English, oral and written
We find it meritorious if you have knowledge in customs, transfer pricing and system related VAT and Indirect Tax aspects.
