Variant Coordinator - Product Documentation
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As VARIANT COORDINATOR - PRODUCT DOCUMENATION within the group Product Specification and Technical Standards you will be responsible for variant condition configuration of Volvo Cars' products, both during the development and in running production. You will secure virtual series and the management of class structure adapted for the construction of physical test objects. You will work in close cooperation with various development units within Research and Development (R&D), Marketing Sales & Services and our factories. We are looking for someone with a passion for cars and a logical mindset. You are communicative and you have the courage and the ability to cooperate with several competences and departments. You will act as a representant for your area in different projects.
Job profile:
• Create product specifications
• Be responsible for the securing of product documentations and that current regulations are followed in R&D
• Prepare and document technical restrictions
• Document the extent of variation per platform and product range
• Develop the structure of the total car's various systems in product specifications
• Secure that specified measures are formally correct and verified
Your profile:
• Technical university or equivalent experience
• Experience of product documentation
• Good knowledge of product development and/or manufacturing process
• Knowledge and interest of the structure of the car
• Very good analytical ability and logical thinking
• Structured and attention to details
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in Swedish and English (spoken and written)
