Description
Ericsson develops and sells a variety of complex products and systems. This is performed in a high development pace in a global environment with high demands on flexibility, quality and short lead times. To enable selling, ordering and handling of our products and systems we use product packages built in a business critical SAP-based configurator, named VC (Variant Configurator). PP Management Core and IMS is responsible for developing and maintaining HW/SW product packages for the Core and IMS product portfolio. We are working closely together with Product Areas, Product Development Units and globally spread Supply sites.
The position requires that you have a strong ability to understand and break down product features from development, commercial, product and supply requirements and transform them into configuration rules in an object oriented and logic based programming language. You need to be experienced in an agile/lean way of working, with good co-operational skills. Our ambition is to strategically build needed competence in a long term perspective, developing ways of working, methodology and tools to meet future demands. You will be a key player in this work and have the possibility to develop into an expert within the area. You must enjoy working in a team, be pro-active, innovative, dynamic and able to handle complex information.
The Variant Configuration Developer / System Manager:
• Plays a key role within product packaging
• Designs and builds product models using the VC in SAP
• Creates VC rules (object/logic oriented programming) for products packages based on information/requirements defined both for commercial and supply views of the product package
• Works closely together with Product Management, Design, Supply and other key interfaces
• Has an agile/lean way of working
Qualifications
University degree, preferably Master of Science degree or equivalent in Computer Science
Requested Competence:
• Object orientation
• Database and SQL
• Entity Relationship modeling
• Programming
• Good ability to understand products from a technical, commercial and supply mgmt view
• Agile/lean way of working and a team player
• Ability to think logically and breakdown complex information
• Self motivated with the drive to solve problems and expand our knowledge
• Pro-active, innovative and dynamic
• Good communicational skills and fluent in English, oral and written
