Variability Reduction Team (VRT) is a part of Volvo Cars Torslanda's (VCT) Industrial Engineering and work in a both challenging and exciting working area.
Main tasks as a VRT leader is to conduct and run quality improvements both within the team as well as within the
three-month ownership for end customer (3MIS) for the present car models. The VRT leader should also support the project organization with expertise in new car project.
The role as VRT leader belong to Current Model Quality (CMQ) department and is a key role within Plant Quality.
The daily work is prioritized due to both internal as well as external indicators that steer the needs of actions.
The role is valid in seven main areas, Software/Electrical, Vehicle Engineering, Powertrain, Chassis, Interior/climate, Exterior and Painted Body & Closures. You will report to Manager IE VRT and CMQ management.

We are now looking for two VRT Leaders to join our team.
Main areas of responsibility
* Lead and coach the VRT team in the daily work, so that the team is able to reach the set quality targets
* Run the work with Interim Containment Action (ICA) and Permanent Corrective Action (PCA) to secure both product and process, in cooperation with Production, Research & Development, Customer Service and Purchasing
* Work with the cross functional network within Manufacturing Engineering
* Support with problem solving in quality matters towards the factory, audit and launch team
* Secure that the follow up board for VRT is continuously updated and up to date.
* When required initiate and be present at kick-off meetings and pre-meetings in VCT
Required qualifications
* University degree in technical areas or equal work experience
* Project leader experience
* Six Sigma, Black or Blue Belt.
* Fluent in English (written/spoken), Swedish preferred
Meritorious
* Experience from problem solving in quality issues.
* Good knowledge in our products.

* Strong sense for Customer Satisfaction.
* Positive attitude, distinct and result oriented
* Structured with good analytic ability.
* High social competence
* Good cooperation skills as well as ability to lead and develop network, team and individuals.
