We have an exciting opportunity for a Validation Engineer to join Manufacturing Science and Technology (MS&T) at our new biologics manufacturing plant at Gärtuna, Södertälje. The purpose-built facility will fill and pack the next generation of clinical and commercial biological drugs from the AstraZeneca pipeline; supporting the acceleration of the biologics portfolio.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Validation Engineer will be responsible for:
• Design, creation, execution, evaluation and reporting of equipment qualification and process validation.
• Provision of technical support including investigation, correction and prevention of issues.
• Communicate proactively with peers and stakeholders to highlight issues and propose solutions.
• Collaboration with local quality, manufacturing, engineering and automation functions to develop and improve validation protocols and processes.
Essential Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering
• Experience of working with validation in a GMP environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent technical writing capabilities
• Good knowledge of Drug Product equipment, facilities, engineering and instrumentation
• Knowledge in validation regulatory guidelines
• Experience with specifying and validating process equipment, utilities, instrumentation and manufacturing processes
Desirable Requirements:
• Familiar and experienced with relevant systems and applications e.g. TrackWise, PIMs, Sharepoint, Workplace and Saba Cloud document management system.
