hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos SAS Huvudkontor Frösundavik i Solna SAS Flight Operations (STOOF) is seeking a Flight Operations Engineer with focus on Cabin and Emergency Equipment to the Engineering & Operational Administration team. You will work in close cooperation with the Cabin team and other subject matter experts within Flight Operations.
SAS Flight operations is responsible for maintaining operational control and supervision by developing and maintaining standards, procedures, quality control and supervision routines for all flight operations within SAS. Our mission is to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Job summary - major activities and work areas
Ensure that loose & emergency equipment onboard aircraft is in accordance with the standards set by SAS Operations and authority requirements. This includes defining the type of equipment, function and location in connection with the introduction of new aircraft or cabin versions. It also includes establishing and maintaining related documentation, such as manuals and checklists.
Maintain technical-operational instructions for primarily cabin crew and information required for the safe, legal, efficient, economical and uniform operation.
Answer/follow up of Cabin Reports that are of a technical-operational nature.
Maintain proficiency regarding aircraft equipment and applicable rules and regulations as required.
Maintain liaison with CAW (Continued Airworthiness) organization in equipment related matters.
Lead/participate in projects as delegated by Head of Engineering & Operational Administration.
Other possible activities and work areas
Design, develop and configure the AOC software of the ACARS system on all aircraft types, in order to standardize and maximize the ACARS operational workflow and value.
Updating and maintaining of ACARS AOC software related operational documentation.
Aircraft performance calculations.
Ensure that performance data supplied to flight crew is up to date and correct at all times.
Coordinate development of airborne and ground based performance software for takeoff and landing.
Required education and experience
Engineering (preferable master/university level) background.
Experience from working with on board emergency and cabin equipment for civil aircraft.
Thorough knowledge of Civil Aviation Regulations.
Proficient in English (excellent verbal and writing skills with ability to make reader friendly documents).
Experience from implementing and using lean principles to improve safety, efficiency and cost reduction.
Project management.
Other preferred education and experience
Advanced software programming.
Advanced Aircraft Performance calculations.
Comprehension of all Scandinavian languages (speech/writing).
Required knowledge and skills

Working conditions/place
The position is a full time position (40 hours/week) with six week's vacation per year.
The position is placed at SAS Head Office, Frösundavik, Stockholm.
