What you 'll do?
'The first person that experience the eminent value of the AD function in a physical car, is the customer'. This is a vision and is it even possible? Can you visualize the customer function development, V&V and even tuning done virtual environments? If so, you are the one we are looking for. Test objects like cars will be needed but they will be limited. This is why we need to ensure the robustness and safety of the function in other test environments
You will need to think strategically, develop tactics and lead, challenge and guide team and colleagues to:
• drive the creation of a roadmap for the vision that will lead to fast and reliable feedback loops during development and V&V
• identify needs and develop plans for methods and competence needed
• demonstrate the value, applicability and learnings in each step together with the AD function team and colleagues that work with verification, data analytics and development of test environments.
• develop the ability to make the team and stakeholders experience the function virtually in an engaging way that is as close to reality as it can be
You will be a member in a team that focus on function V&V and this team is part of a greater AD Function team with competences in function development,systemisation and integration. The AD function teams takes full responsibility for the development and launch of the function and share a common backog. To be successful you will need to collaborate with an extensive network of teams at Volvo Cars. You will also work close with our Function SW supplier Zenseact on matters like work split and collaboration for best way forward. You will also take the advantage of the Open innovation arena for collaboration with both internal and external parties.

It is a leadership role where you will be expected to guide, take decisions, give clear recommendations and develop others as well as yourself.
You probably have a background in function V&V, design and development and experience from different virtual testing environment that has provided you with a good understanding of the benefit and potential in virtual verification.
We think you are familiar with testing in SW-in-the Loop, HW in-the Loop, Product simulators, Vehicle dynamics simulators and Virtual Reality tools. We also think you have experience from continous integration and test automisation
We belive that you have a MSc degree in Systems, control and mechatronics, Data Science, Computer engineering, Engineering Physics, Mathematics or equivalent or even a PhD degree. You are fluent in English, spoken and written, and have a driver's license (B)
