We are currently looking to recruit two senior Validation & Verification Engineers with an open mind and coaching style, able to challenge the way of work and to take us to the next level of verification and validation of our products in Västerås.
Purpose of the job:
The Software Test Lead identifies methods and tools for testing and assures that Verification and Validation (V&V) in engineering projects is performed in a timely manner and with an optimal use of resources and test facilities.
Responsibilities
• Together with other functions define V&V activities for engineering projects to ensure that requirements are fulfilled
• Definition of concepts for testing, including identification of tools needed
• Definition of Test Plan, assure that work is done in a logical sequence, and assure integration at different levels i.e. System, Device and Components
• Communicate and influence functions in the design and development work
• Support projects to tailor the test strategy for their concrete needs
• Advice function of choice of methods, identify needs of testing and assure the quality of test is sufficient
• Attend gate reviews and assess project V&V status
• Contribute to the development and infrastructure of test facilities based of project needs
Qualifications:
• MSc, BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience as a Design/ System Engineer
• Experience in software development and testing
• Experience in working according to and thorough knowledge of EN 50128
• Experience in rolling stock or similar projects is considered as advantage
• Background in V&V process development is a strong plus
• Able to work in a cross-functional environment and seek flow efficient solutions
• Good skills in influencing others
