The Interaction Design Department's main task is to develop in-car interface layout, motion and graphic design solutions and propose strategic directions of interaction principles in order to secure an outstanding user experience. We are responsible for defining strategic concepts and innovation for the driver and passengers to ease and delight their daily commute.
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for the next senior UX Strategist who has strong leadership skills and experience from being a creative UX lead of a cross functional team of graphic/motion designers, interaction designers, SW developers and other experts. You have a Bachelor/Master's Degree or equivalent from a Design University. You have exceptional knowledge within cognitive human-machine interface design as well as in visual design. You have a passion for UX, interface and visual design. In this role strong communication skills and being a good team player is key. Fluent in English, both written and verbal is required.
What you'll do
Guide the scrum teams in UX concept creation within the Lean UX community. You will be working with designing in-car user experiences guiding the scrum teams in their design process of creating new concepts. You will be the ambassador and curator for our UX vision and secure that we have aligned interaction principles throughout all in-car displays as well as towards the mobile and web platforms. You will work close with the art director and the guidelines team. You will also be responsible for strategic UX projects within Design with new innovations for in-car experiences. Your base will be the Interaction Design Department at Volvo Cars Design in Gothenburg with connections to the design studio in LA and other global sites but your daily work will be within the larger UX community.
