hela Sverige We are looking for a UX researcher/tester to the System Engineering & UX section within the Downstream System department, R&D in Uppsala. The department develops instrument systems for liquid chromatography used for protein purification, as well as other devices and software to support the customer workflows in the Bioprocess area.
Essential Responsibilities:
Within the department we have many competences such as mechanics, electronics, software and application and we are situated in Uppsala and Umeå. The development is driven in cross-functional, global project teams where we create products for the Life Sciences industry.
The System Engineering & UX section's main activities are focused on user and system specification, verification, validation and usability of these products.
As a UX researcher/tester, you will contribute to the understanding of our customers and the users of our products. You understand and champion the importance of research and testing to the design process and act as an active member of the research and development team. As a UX researcher/tester you will execute on multiple small to medium sized projects as an individual contributor with a focus on user research and usability testing.
The UX researcher/tester works within global, cross-functional product development teams to optimize hardware and software interfaces by applying deep domain expertise in human cognitive and physical capabilities, and insights about user needs derived through formal research. Product solutions must satisfy both the functional and emotional needs of internal and external stakeholders.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
As part of a team, plan and deliver the team's commitments
Lead the UX efforts by working closely with the different development teams and system architects
Plan research topics and usability tests and lead the analysis and synthesis of research findings
Propose design or product solutions based on research and test outcomes
Create UX design specifications for development teams and continuously validate user experience
Present, both orally and in writing, results and conclusions from studies performed
Advocate for user research and help champion buy in from stakeholders and businesses
Continuously improve our ways of working
Representative deliverables include user personas, affinity maps, task analyses, work models, usability test reports, competitor benchmarks, use cases and storyboards.

Qualifications/Requirements:
MSc or BSc within the UX field or equivalent knowledge or experience
Relevant experience as UX Researcher/tester within product development
Hands-on experience with a combination of the following methodologies: field research, international research, survey design, lab-based user testing, remote testing, low-fidelity prototype testing, rapid iterative testing, concept value testing
Moderation & facilitation skills to lead individual interviews/workshop with individual contributors, as well as group sessions with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to facilitates group understanding of research data and leverage data to derive actionable insights
Knowledge and experience of project models and methodology, preferably Agile
Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and spoken)
Structured and organized team player with good interpersonal skills
Swedish and English as working languages

Competence in design of wireframes and clickable prototypes

The work is conducted in close cooperation with specialists from different parts of R&D such as mechanical and electrical design, SW development and application why it is desirable for applicants to have interest and insight in these areas.
