Description
Here is an exciting opportunity to make an impact on thousands of people's lives.
Joint Academy is a world-leading digital clinic for treating chronic joint and back pain. Our product connects patients with licensed physical therapists and delivers clinically proven treatment programs with individualized exercises, interactive lessons, personal guidance and progress tracking through our app. We have treated more than 70,000 patients in five markets to date, and tens of thousands of patients engage with our app every day.
As a UX Researcher within the Markets product area, you will work in a cross-functional team including designers, engineers, and product managers who are passionate about creating a great experience for our patients and physical therapists. We put our users first, and let insights and data inform our work.
You will have the support of fellow Joint Academy designers with expertise within product and service design, UX research and UX writing. This is a platform for exchanging ideas, seeking feedback, growing as an individual and developing the discipline within the organisation.
At Joint Academy we care about each other and value different opinions: you can expect to learn new things every day, have fun at work and we promote a healthy work-life balance.
This is what you will do:
Collaborate with product teams to identify and resolve product gaps e.g. identify user frustrations, attitudes, drivers, and behaviors relevant to set a strategic direction
Conduct end to end qualitative research (primarily using online tools) to understand user needs and emerging opportunities
Plan usability studies, questionnaires, screeners, and discussion guides including samples, data analysis/synthesis, and any eventual reporting
Lead moderated and unmoderated user studies, surveys and in-depth interviews adapting methodologies and experimenting with new approaches
Present findings and deliver insights to product stakeholders in a structured way
Ensure all research studies are methodologically sound

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience within UX Research for digital products.
Proficiency in research methodology, showing a strong understanding of the strengths and limitations of different methods and how and when to apply them.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to craft actionable and unbiased recommendations.
Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods to evaluate user behavior
Ability to deliver user insights in a digestible way within specific deadlines.
Interest in strategic research and proactively suggest and drive research projects that help align user and business goals in the company
Interest in storytelling as a way to clarify the connection between user and business goals
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Professional fluency in English
Familiarity with working in agile projects with cross-functional teams

It's a bonus if you have:
Experience in working with users across multiple countries to gain and analyze different cultural and behavioural insights when interacting with a product
Conducted research in French and/or German
Familiarity with Mixpanel, Optimizely and Tableau to fetch and analyze data
Worked with multi variant testing
