Avalanche Studios Group are looking for a User Research Coordinator to drive the research initiatives for Avalanche Studios Group's self publishing divisions Systemic Reaction (SR) and Expansive Worlds (EW). This position is a temporary maternity leave cover with the possibility of being extended to a permanent role.
User Research is part of the Publishing Services department which services both Systemic Reaction & Expansive Worlds. In this role you will be responsible for setting up and coordinating user testing and other research activities as well as cultivating the relationship between our internal projects and potential external partners.
In this role you will report to the Director of Publishing Services.
Job Description
• Schedule and coordinate studies with external research facilities
• Plan and execute player research including playerbase surveys, focus groups and interviews, company playtests, and closed playtests
• Analyze data resulting from player research, create reports, and share insights with product teams
• Coordinate the creation and hand-off of project deliverables needed to conduct studies externally
• Schedule and maintain the User Research calendar for the projects you support
• Manage regular syncs with the teams and titles you support
• Maintain records regarding completed user research studies
• Oversee the development and documentation of internal processes supporting User Research
• Work with the Director of Publishing Services to continue the development of User Research at Avalanche Studios Group
Required skills
• Experience with survey creation tools like SurveyMonkey or similar
• Experience using Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and insights
• Familiar with qualitative and quantitative research methodology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to work autonomously and independently
• Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Experience managing projects in parallel
Desired skills
• Interest in UX or psychology
• Interest in gaming or game development
• Experience with user research methods including focus groups, interviews, and questionnaires
• Familiarity with games user research methods including playtesting
