Want to work with human robot interaction through user centered innovative applied research and design? Want to solve challenging problems for the industry worldwide with focus on collaborative robots? As Human Robot Interaction Design Researcher (HRI) you will be part of the User Experience team within Automation Solutions and play a key role in a skilled and engaged group of user-centered design researchers with a focus on innovation in current and future ABB businesses. Many of our project results have led to new products, publications, awards and patents. Together with Corporate Research teams worldwide, we research and develop concepts in close collaborations with ABB's core business. This is your chance to join a truly unique journey ahead.
Your challenges
Your daily work is focused on innovative applied research within the field of Human Robot Interaction. You will, from a human factors perspective, research and create concepts with focus on user friendly and intuitive human interaction in relation to ABB's current and future robots. You communicate the results in a comprehensive way toward our global stakeholders through for example low-fi and hi-fi prototypes. In our team you have freedom of responsibility, you are able to drive your interests as well as work long term with important challenges, and you have opportunities to publish articles.
In addition to working on challenging and fundamental industrial problems, you will have access to the latest technology, be updated on the latest in academia and the markets and you will have opportunities to realize your own ideas in intelligent robotic products and services applied worldwide.

Your profile
You are an experienced user centered designer, and your interest and competence is focused on Human Robot Interaction.
You are analytical and curious, and have a drive to propose new solutions based on new interactive technologies. Equally important are your innovative and creative skills as well as your customer and user focus. As a true team player, you are communicative, collaborative and positive and thrive in a role where you can take initiative - all to contribute to our future success.
You hold a Masters' degree in a relevant field, and you probably have some years of experience. Today, you might spend your days at within a robot company, research institute or at the university, focusing on human robot interaction, human factors in relation to robots or similar. But more importantly, you share our passion for industrial challenges, intelligent robots and you want to change the world.
Fluency in English is a must, written and spoken alike. Preferably, you have a portfolio to attach to your application or to show at the interview.
